Hello, welcome to my website! I'm Rui Yuan, a freelance photographer with an interest in music, gigs and events, focusing on capturing the memories and candid moments to share with everyone!

I first started photography in college back in 2020, before studying BA (Hons) Photography at the University of Derby. My work explored memories, the past and aphantasia (the inability to visualise), creating physical work that explored my past experiences.

I am currently a volunteer for Snap and Chat Connect at Derby Market Hall, where I help with the Wednesday morning wellbeing photo walk by offering my assistance and knowledge in photography while taking photographs.

I am also available to hire as a photographer for any clients who may want photographs of events, gigs, and clubs, with the intention of documenting these precious memories!
